Location: Peroxisomes are found floating around the cells where there is oxygen, as it is required for them to do their work.
Structure: These organelles have a membrane much like the cell membrane, as it is composed of a bilipid layer. On the inside, there are very specific enzymes.
Function: Peroxisomes have a very similar function as lysosomes do. A peroxisomes molecules attack complex molecules and break them down. They have a byproduct of hydrogen peroxide due to their work, which could be detrimental to a cells health if released.
