Location: Vacuoles are found in both plant and animal cells, although they are much larger and more noticeable. In plants, they are typically in the center of the cell, and in animals can be found anywhere in the cell.
Structure: This organelle is made of a large membrane which fills like a balloon full of water and other things.
Function: Vacuoles are very important. They help a plant keep their rigidity and shape, and also serve as a storing place for water, trash of the cell, and sometimes nutrients.
